The living accommodation on the ground floor offers plenty of space with a large farmhouse kitchen where you can cook up a storm and then relax in the dining room around the large dining table. The inviting living room is spacious and bright where you can enjoy the spectacular views or just shut the curtains on a chilly night and relax by the wood burning stove. The continues in the bedrooms at Kevans Farmhouse with sumptuous beds and bedding ensuring you will wake up refreshed in the morning ready for your adventures to begin. The gardens at Kevans Farmhouse are the ideal place for enjoying a morning coffee or evening drink, while taking in the surrounding views and starlit sky. Of course your very own private hot tub may be where you prefer to end your day.
The area surrounding Kevans Farmhouse is breathtaking, from the rugged coastlines and secluded sandy beaches to inland with The Galloway Forest Park, Britian’s largest forest park with 300 square miles of wild beauty and where you will find the world renowned 7Stanes Mountain bike trail at Kirroughtree. A short 5-minute drive from Kevans Farmhouse will take you to the Isle of Whithorn, an attractive little harbour village where you can sail, fish or just sit and relax overlooking the bay while perhaps enjoying a meal or glass of wine in the pub or tea room. Visit Wigtown, which has officially been designated as Scotland’s National Book Town with a wide range of book related businesses, a book lovers haven.
The larger town of Newton Stewart, known as the Gateway to the Galloway Hills, also has many excellent shops and places to eat. Further along the coast, you can visit many pretty little ports like Sandhead and Portpatrick, or Scotland’s most southerly point, the RSPB Scotland Mull of Galloway Nature Reserve, where thousands of seabirds nest in the cliff face during the spring and summer.
