This lovely apartment provides a welcoming place to stay for a romantic, relaxing or family break. Enjoying your time will be easy as everything is to hand! Situated in the heart of Rye town centre you are on top of the cobbled streets, the historic, medieval half-timbered buildings and the mix of high street shops, boutique stores and antique treasure troves. You can easily stroll to the pubs, restaurants and bars as all are located a short distance away. Accessed via a side entrance above a gift shop, Penny Royal is a beautifully presented, open-plan property boasting far reaching roof top and countryside views across Rye and beyond, perfect for an evening in.
Whilst you are only minutes away from eating out and sampling the delights of Rye, the apartment also provides everything you may need to stay in and cook after a long day exploring. If you wish to explore the town’s history further, then you can visit Rye Heritage Centre, Ypres Tower Museum and Rye Castle. For culture, then why not visit the local Kino Theatre, Rye’s micro pub, Spike Milligan’s grave or perhaps you would prefer to pop into the Jazz bar.
Whilst the property is set within this small Sussex town you can also access the coast very easily. A short drive away are the sand dunes of Camber Sands, and only a few miles away from the property is Rye Harbour. It is possible to walk along the side of the river from the town centre down towards the harbour and the beach. Rye Harbour itself offers perfect spots for ramblers, cyclists and bird watchers with it’s beautiful nature reserve and discovery centre. A walk along Rye Harbour also leads you to Winchelsea Beach.
Exploring further afield you can also walk to Rye train station, with easy access back towards the coast to Hastings or towards London via the high speed Ashford network. Rye offers a market every Thursday, or for more retail therapy, a trip to Ashford will leave you within walking distance of McArthur Glen designer outlet with its range of discounted designer stores and restaurants.
