Stylish Georgian apartment in the heart of Hastings Old Town. With shops restaurants pubs and the coast on your doorstep this beautiful holiday home makes the perfect romantic retreat for weekend breaks or longer stays.
One of the best features of Sea Valley is the partly covered courtyard garden. With the cliff as your backdrop, superb outside lighting and a dining area, it is a wonderfully quirky outside dining room. With the wind in a certain direction, you can still occasionally hear the chanting of smugglers’ tales in the ancient tunnels behind the cliff.
Within minutes of the thriving High Street, you are spoilt for choice at this coastal holiday home. The Old Town is an eclectic mix of bric-a-brac shops, galleries, independent boutiques, restaurants, pubs and coffee stops. It is hard to pass the window of the award - winning bakery without being tempted to go in; you have been warned!
Down on the beach, Hastings Pier is located on a pleasant walk along the seafront and holds music events throughout the year, so it is worth checking if there is something that takes your fancy before your visit, as tickets sell fast. The town is famous for the biggest beach-launched fishing fleet in Britain and much of the tradition has been kept. The net drying huts and fishing fleet can be found on the beach today along with the many fresh fish stalls.
If you are seeking evening entertainment, then take in a film at the Electric Palace Cinema, an independent community based cinema which aims to bring you a wide choice of alternative films and film related events. Looking to explore the Country Park? Take the funicular up to the top, or if feeling fit, take the many steps; the view is worth the effort and you can walk for miles taking in the cliff views.
The Jerwood Gallery is found close by and The Shipwreck and Coastal Heritage Museum is worth a visit. To explore further out from the town, you are of course in 1066 Country and with that comes castles, National Trust Gardens and grand houses; plenty to visit during your stay.
The rear courtyard garden is provided exclusively for your private use. There are other residents or guests in the neighbouring apartments, and we ask guests to be respectful for everyone’s enjoyment of this fabulous location.
