A few years ago, Channel View was an abandoned shack surrounding an old Victorian railway carriage. Today, it has been transformed into an amazing, contemporary and unique holiday home. The open plan living space is light and bright, with large picture windows which look out onto the shingle beach of the nature reserve and the new lighthouse.
The Victorian railway carriage has been lovingly conserved and creates a central feature within the property, as well as providing an amazing space for entertaining. A sliding floor-to-ceiling picture window at the end of the railway carriage creates an immersive indoor-outdoor dining space, while the separate fully-equipped modern kitchen includes two ovens and a breakfast bar with expansive views over the beach and the iconic Dungeness channel marker.
The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and the property sleeps a further two guests on an extra-large kingsize daybed in the snug area.
Dungeness Nature Reserve is a truly special place to stay, with miles of shingle stretching out into the English Channel. It is stark and wild, and yet also a place of awe-inspiring beauty - ideal for photographers, birdwatchers and dog lovers alike.
Channel View really is a home like no place and is the perfect getaway-from-it-all retreat.
