Fedwr Gog Cottage
Fedwr Gog Cottage is on our farm near Glan yr afon in Denbighshire. It's a semi-detached farmhouse. You're right in the middle of about 150 acres here, so the views are just fields and hills. You can walk straight out from the door.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's old, so you've got the beams and a big inglenook fireplace with a woodburner. That's the main thing in the lounge. There's a sun room off the back we use as a dining area. The view from there is good, just open land.
The stairs are typical old farmhouse stairs. They're fine, but they're steep and turn a corner.
The local pub that does food is about a 15 minute walk down the lane. The nearest shop for a big grocery shop is in Corwen, about three miles away.
You're well placed for getting out. Bala Lake is about eight miles. You can do sailing or canoeing there. For walking or climbing, you've got Snowdonia to the west, or you can go towards Llangollen. Both are within a 30 minute drive. The coast, around Rhyl or Prestatyn, is about the same.
On the facilities: the woodburner is there, bedding is included, there's a washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
