Crogen Gatehouse Lodge Llandrillo

Crogen Gatehouse Lodge is at the entrance to the Crogen estate, just outside Llandrillo. It's a detached cottage for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom, and it's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well kept and comfortable.

The main thing is the view. You look right out across the valley to the River Dee and the Berwyn mountains. It's a proper outlook. There's a seating area out the back where you can sit with a coffee.

Inside, it's one main floor with the kitchen, living room, and a dining room with a Welsh dresser. Upstairs is the bedroom and bathroom. The bed is a super king. The bathroom has both a walk-in shower and a roll-top bath.

It's got a wood burner, a Smart TV, WiFi, and all the usual things like a dishwasher and washing machine. The bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs. There's parking right there.

You can walk straight from the door. There's a path by the river, or you can head up into the hills. The fishing on the Dee is local if that's your thing.

For a day out, Bala Lake is about twenty minutes away. You can hire boats or just walk around it. The market town of Bala is the same sort of distance. Corwen is a bit closer. Further afield, Snowdonia is within an hour's drive.
