This is Hen Hafod, our place up near Bala. It's on a sheep farm down a concrete track, so you're away from the main road. It's completely on its own, just fields and hills around it.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got two staircases up to the bedrooms, which is a bit unusual but handy. There are slate floors and oak beams in the living room and kitchen. The main room has a black range stove.
You're about a mile and a half from Bala town. There are shops and a couple of pubs there. The lake is the main thing. You can sail or go on the rafting and canoeing there.
You can walk straight from the door onto the hills. The edge of Snowdonia National Park is right here. The drives through the park are good, maybe half an hour to some of the big mountains. There's a golf course nearby too.
Inside there's a washing machine, TV, parking right outside. We include the bedding. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. You can bring two dogs.
If you're looking for walks or things to see, Visit Wales and the National Trust Snowdonia sites are useful.
