Ty Ni

Ty Ni is in Bala town. It's a Grade II listed cottage, one of a terrace. The name means 'little house'. It sleeps six in three bedrooms with one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place.

You get a small enclosed patio garden at the back. It faces the street at the front, but the back looks out over Bala Lake. You can see the water from the upstairs windows.

The facilities are what you'd expect: wifi, TV, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. Parking is on the street outside; you usually find a space.

We allow one well-behaved dog. The garden is enclosed but it's not huge, so bigger dogs might find it a bit tight.

Bala itself is handy. There are cafes, pubs, and shops a few minutes' walk away. The leisure centre has a pool. The lake is right there for kayaking or paddle boarding if you hire something.

You're in Snowdonia. For walking, cycling, or climbing, you just head out. The Coed y Brenin visitor centre for mountain biking is about half an hour's drive. The National Whitewater Centre is just up the road at Tryweryn.

Further out, you've got Harlech Castle and the beach at Barmouth in about 45 minutes. Snowdonia National Park has all the information for planning walks. For other local attractions, Visit Wales is useful.
