Enlli
Enlli is my cottage in Llanuwchllyn. It's a terraced stone cottage right in Snowdonia. The village is quiet. It's about as peaceful as it gets.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well kept. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but it's a traditional cottage floor plan inside, so you'd need to check if that works for you.
The front looks right over the road at the village pub. It's about ten yards away. They serve food and welcome dogs. There's also a small shop in there. The Bala Lake Railway station is a short walk down the lane.
You're at one end of Bala Lake. It's the biggest natural lake in Wales. People go sailing, canoeing, and fishing on it. You can walk to the shore from the cottage. The little steam train from the station goes along the lake to Bala town, which is about five miles. Bala has shops, cafes, and a leisure centre with a pool.
The cottage has an enclosed garden at the back. It's got a patio area too. Inside, there's a wood burning stove for colder nights. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to three dogs.
For things to do, you're in Snowdonia National Park. Walking and cycling right from the door. You can drive to the coast at Barmouth in under an hour if you want a beach day. For planning, the Snowdonia National Park Authority site is useful. The Wales Coast Path information might help if you head to the sea.
