Bwthyn Glanllyn is in Llanuwchllyn, right on the edge of Bala Lake. It's a detached cottage, so no neighbours attached. You get the garden to yourselves.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a separate games room in an outbuilding you can use.
The access depends on the time of year. There's a touring caravan park next door that's open from Easter to mid-October. When it's open, you drive through the park to get to the cottage. When it's closed, you use the farm entrance instead. The shop on the park site is handy.
The patio is at the side, with good views over the lake towards the Aran mountain. There's garden furniture and a barbecue. The garden is enclosed.
You can walk straight down to the lake from the property. It's good for sailing, paddle boarding, canoeing, that sort of thing. White water rafting is about five miles away. There's a direct cycle and footpath that goes all the way into Bala town, which is three miles. Bala has shops, a few restaurants, and some takeaways.
You're in the Snowdonia National Park, so the walking from the door is excellent. For mountain biking, Coed y Brenin forest is about half an hour's drive. Snowdonia National Park Authority has walking and route information.
For a day out, the coast at Barmouth or Harlech is about 45 minutes. The National Trust has several places nearby, like Craflwyn.
Inside, it's got what you'd need: TV, wifi, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair if required. Parking is on site. Sorry, no pets.
