Bryn Melyn is a detached farmhouse, about two and a half miles outside Bala. It's in Snowdonia National Park. The views are all fields and hills.
It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 5 star rating, which means it's well looked after and comfortable. There's a wood burner, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you've got dogs or kids. You can take up to two pets.
The stairs are standard for an old place. There's a stairgate at the top. The driveway has space for a few cars. There's also a games room with a pool table, which is useful if the weather turns.
You can walk straight from the door onto the paths. Bala town is close. It's a proper market town with shops, cafes, and a few places to eat. The lake is there, where you can hire boats or just walk around it. The Bala Lake Railway is a narrow-gauge steam train that goes along the shore.
The National White Water Centre is about a ten minute drive. For something different, Zip World Titan is near Blaenau Ffestiniog, about half an hour away. That's the one with the ziplines over the quarry. The coast at Barmouth is roughly forty minutes by car.
