This is the cottage, Y Bwthyn. It's at the very end of Bala Lake, right on the water. The view from here is just the lake and the hills, nothing else.
It sleeps three people. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, so that's handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything works, it's clean and comfortable. There's a deck out the front. You'll sit there and watch the water.
Our coffee shop is next door, but it's only open seasonally, Easter through October. So sometimes it's busy, sometimes it's quiet. The town of Bala is a short walk away. There are a few pubs and places to eat. A leisure centre too.
The Bala Lake Railway starts right at the end of the lake. You can get a steam train along the shore to Llanuwchllyn. Fishing is a big thing here on the lake, you can get a licence in town.
You're in Snowdonia National Park. The mountain road over to Lake Vyrnwy is an experience, very steep and narrow in parts. Barmouth beach is about a 40 minute drive. For wider information, Visit Wales is useful.
What's here: parking right outside, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a stairgate and space for bikes. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
