Crogen Wing

Crogen Wing is a part of Crogen Hall, which is a very old house. But it's its own space with a private entrance. You wouldn't know you're in a bigger place. It's been done up really well.

It's for four people. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. One's a double, the other has twin beds. The rating is 4 Star, which feels about right. It's comfortable and everything works. It's warm, the heating is good.

Downstairs is the kitchen. It's got an Aga. It leads out to a cobbled yard with a table and chairs. The River Dee is just past the yard. There's a little sitting area right by the river bank to watch the water.

Upstairs is the living room with a wood burner. The bedrooms are up there too. There's a big bit of garden for you to use as well, with views over the lawns.

Location wise, it's in Llandrillo. It's very quiet. There's a high ropes and paintball place in the woods about half a mile away if that's your thing. For food, there's a local pub about a mile and a half away, and a Michelin-starred restaurant the same distance in the other direction. The shop is in the village.

You're right on the edge of Snowdonia. Bala Lake is about a 20 minute drive. It's big and you can do watersports there. Llangollen is maybe 25 minutes away. It's got the Eisteddfod in July and you can do white water rafting on the Dee there. Chester is around 45 minutes by car if you want a day out at the races or to see the walls.

What's here: the Aga, the wood burner, dishwasher, washing machine, TV, WiFi. All bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside. No pets, I'm afraid.
