Groudd Hall Cottage

Groudd Hall Cottage is in Cerrigydrudion, which is on the A5. It's attached to our house on a working farm, but it's your own space. The main part of the cottage is old, from 1560.

It sleeps seven in four bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not modernised to within an inch of its life. The stairs are what you'd expect in an old place.

There are two kitchens, which is odd but useful if you've got a big group. The living room has a big inglenook fireplace with an open fire. We provide some wood to get you started. The conservatory looks out over the farm fields.

You're welcome to bring two dogs. The garden is enclosed but it's not fortress-like, so keep an eye on them. There's plenty of on-site parking, and you can store bikes.

The village is about a mile away. There's a shop, a pub, and a couple of places to eat. They're all fine.

For things to do, you're right in the middle of it. Betws-y-Coed and the Snowdonia National Park are about 15 minutes drive one way. Llangollen is about 25 minutes the other. Llyn Brenig reservoir is nearby for walking and fishing. If you're after castles, Chirk Castle is about half an hour away.

The facilities list is mostly what you see: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them.
