The Shippon is in Gwyddelwern in Denbighshire. It's a converted stone barn. The views from the front, over the village and towards Cadair Berwyn, are very good. You can sit outside on the patio and take it in.
It's a one-bedroom place, just for two people. It's got a 5 Star rating. The kitchen is new and has everything you need, including a washing machine. The living area is all open-plan. There's a wood burner for colder nights.
Upstairs is the bedroom with a kingsize bed and an ensuite shower room. The stairs are a proper wooden cottage staircase, so they're a bit steep.
Outside there's a patio garden and a hot tub.
The local pub is about two and a half miles away. Rhug Estate is a short drive for their farm shop and cafe. Corwen is close by if you want to get on the Llangollen Steam Railway.
You're in a good spot for getting out. Betws-y-Coed and the Snowdonia National Park are less than thirty minutes by car. Chester is about forty-five minutes if you fancy a city day. The Clwydian Range is right on your doorstep for walking.
For planning, these sites are useful: Snowdonia National Park Authority and National Trust Wales.
Facilities are all included: WiFi, TV with Netflix, bedding and towels, and parking. No pets.
