Deer Cottage 1

Deer Cottage 1 is in Fosten Green, near Biddenden. It's part of a pair of cottages, but you get your own private patio and lawned bit at the back. The back looks out over the owner's orchards.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortably done and well-equipped. Everything is on one level, no stairs.

The main room is open-plan, kitchen at one end, sitting area at the other. There's a table for four. Patio doors open straight onto your patio. The kitchen has everything, including a washing machine and dishwasher.

Outside, there's a sitting area and a gas barbecue. It's fenced off from the next door cottage. You also get shared use of the much bigger garden and grounds. There's a tennis court and a kids' play area there.

Biddenden village is about five minutes by car. There are a couple of pubs and shops there. Tenterden is about ten minutes away. That's where you'll find most of the shops, cafes and a supermarket. It's a nice high street.

Local things: Biddenden Vineyards is very close, you can do tastings. Hemsted Forest is right there for walking or cycling. Sissinghurst Castle is about a 25 minute drive. The Kent & Sussex Steam Railway runs from Tenterden. The coast at Rye or Camber Sands is about half an hour.

It says it can be booked with Deer Cottage 2 next door for larger groups. There's also a function hall on site they sometimes rent out for events, but it wouldn't be in use unless you booked it yourself.

Included: all bedding and towels, WiFi, TV, parking. No pets.
