Quarter Cottage is at Stede Quarter. It's a small place attached to the side of our house. The whole cottage is just for you. It's quiet. You'll see our garden and a small lake out the front.
It's for two people. One bedroom upstairs, which is really the whole first floor. The bathroom is up there too. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well set up. The stairs are a bit steep.
The kitchen and dining area are downstairs. The sofa and the bed are upstairs under the eaves. If you're very tall, you'll need to mind your head in a couple of spots. There's underfloor heating downstairs and in the bathroom which is nice.
Outside, there's a little table and chairs by your front door. You can sit and look over at the pond. It's a good spot in the evening.
You're in the countryside here. There are public footpaths straight from the door if you want a walk. For a proper day out, Sissinghurst Castle Garden is about a 15 minute drive. Tenterden town is about the same distance the other way. They've got shops and cafes. You can get the steam train from there to Bodiam Castle, which people seem to enjoy.
If you need to get a train, Ashford International station is 20 minutes by car. That gets you to London or to the coast.
What's here: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
