Quarter Cottage is on our farm in Stede Quarter, Kent. It's a single storey converted cart lodge. It's brick on the outside, white walls inside. It's for two people.
You walk in and you're straight into the main space. Kitchen, dining table, sofa. There's underfloor heating there and in the bathroom. The bed is upstairs in the eaves. The space up there is open plan, so the bed, sitting area and bathroom are all in one room. The ceiling slopes down on the sides. It's a comfortable place to be, but you need to mind your head if you're tall.
Outside there's a little patio with a table, right by a small lake we have. It's peaceful.
The cottage has a four star rating. That means everything works and it's well kept. It's got the essentials: WiFi, TV, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
You're out in the countryside here. There are footpaths from the door. Tenterden is about ten minutes by car. It's a nice market town. From there you can get the steam train to Bodiam on the Kent and Sussex Railway. Sissinghurst Castle gardens are a fifteen minute drive.
Ashford is just down the road if you need a bigger shop or the station. The high speed train from there gets to London in under 40 minutes.
