Shepherds Hut
This is the Shepherds Hut in High Halden. It's one hut on our land, down a track. It's quiet out here. You're on your own.
It's for two people. One room with a double bed, and a small bathroom with a shower. It has a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and everything works, but it's basic. The space is all open plan, so the living area and bed are in one room.
The land is flat around the hut, so the entrance is wheelchair friendly. There's a patio area with a table and a BBQ outside.
You'll need a car. The village is about a mile away. It has a shop and a couple of pubs. For a bigger shop, Tenterden is ten minutes by car. Ashford is about twenty minutes away, it has a shopping outlet and the train station for London or Paris.
There are footpaths straight from the drive, including the Pilgrim's Way. You can walk for miles. The High Weald National Landscape is all around here. Sissinghurst Castle Garden is about half an hour's drive. The coast at Rye or Folkestone is roughly 40 minutes.
It has Wi-Fi and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right next to the hut.
