Freshwater Barn is on the edge of Benenden village. It's a converted barn, done up a few years ago. Sleeps four, but there's one main bedroom and then a sofa bed in the sitting room. Good for a family or two friends. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's a bit nicer inside than some places.
The kitchen's been updated. It's got a butler sink and a washing machine. The main sitting area is open with the kitchen, so it feels spacious. There's a patio and garden area outside that's yours.
You can walk into the village. There's a shop, a post office, a cafe, and a pub. The pub does food.
The area is quiet country lanes and fields. It's in the High Weald, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Good for walking or cycling right from the door. Benenden School is nearby.
If you drive, you can get to Sissinghurst Castle gardens in about fifteen minutes. That's National Trust. Bodiam Castle is about half an hour away, also National Trust. Royal Tunbridge Wells is about a twenty-five minute drive for more shops.
We allow up to two well-behaved dogs. There's on-site parking. We provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included.
