Maplehurst Barn Stables
Maplehurst Barn Stables is just outside Staplehurst in Kent. It's a single-storey barn conversion, attached to our house. You get your own entrance. It's quiet here, down a long driveway. There's a deck out front that looks over our paddocks where the horses are.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one wet room bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which we keep it to. Good for wheels or if you don't like steps, as it's all on the level.
The nearest shop and pub are about a mile and a half away in the village. You can walk it down the lanes if you don't mind a bit of a trek.
There's lots to see around here. For gardens, Sissinghurst Castle is about twenty minutes by car. Leeds Castle is about half an hour's drive the other way, near Maidstone. The coast at Hastings or Rye is roughly forty-five minutes.
The train from Staplehurst station goes to London in about an hour. Ashford International is about twenty minutes drive if you fancy the Eurostar.
For facilities, you've got the basics. TV, wifi, parking right outside, a barbecue. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
