Brook View
Brook View sits alongside the village brook in the historic, pretty village of Welton, close to the River Humber and on the edge of the stunning Yorkshire Wolds. Surrounded by walking trails and cycling routes yet within driving distance of the cultural City of Hull and the historic walled City of York this very pretty cottage is just perfect for two to enjoy a romantic break away.
Enjoying a cosy interior with traditional cottage features, including a warming wood burner and laminate floors, the open plan living/dining room is truly delightful. With views from the font across the babbling brook and with French doors opening out onto a small enclosed courtyard, this room is flooded with natural light. A large sofa sits perfectly in front of the wood burning stove whilst the dining table offers plenty of seating for two. The galley style kitchen may be small but is perfectly formed offering a host of appliances including a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher and washing machine. The ground floor accommodation is completed by a house bathroom offering a bath with shower over. The cottage stairs take you to the first floor where you will find a large kingsize bedroom with lovely village views. This pretty cottage offers a small private courtyard with additional seating. Here you can enjoy an early morning coffee whilst planning the day ahead or enjoy an al fresco evening meal.
A short stroll from the cottage will bring you to a delightful coffee shop and also the much loved village pub which serves delicious home cooked meals. If you’re golfing fans, test your swing at Brough Golf Club or perhaps enjoy the wildlife and stunning views at the Humber Bridge Country Park. The nearby City of Hull which offers a selection of museums including The Deep and two theatres as well as a vibrant night life. The market town of Beverly and the historic City of York offers days out at The Races, or enjoy your time exploring the unspoilt rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds. Some of the East Coast best seaside towns are also within reach including Hornsea and Bridlington. Take time to also visit the Spurn National Nature Reserve.
