This is the Railway Carriage at Byeways in Selsey. It's an old train carriage from the 1930s that's been built into a house, so it's a bit unusual. It sleeps up to eleven people in six bedrooms, with three bathrooms. That's why it's good for a big group or a couple of families. There are two kitchens as well.
It's got a three star rating. It's clean and everything works, but it's not a five star hotel. Because it's an old carriage, some of the corridors are quite narrow and there are a few steps between some of the rooms. That's just how it is.
Outside there's a big patio with table tennis and lots of seating. There's parking on site. The garden is yours.
The beach is about a mile away. It's got a playground and a cafe. There's a promenade you can walk along into Selsey centre. The lifeboat station is there if you fancy a look. They've got a small museum.
Chichester is about twenty minutes by car. It's got the cathedral, shops, a theatre and places to eat. For walking, the South Downs are close. Portsmouth, with the historic dockyard, is about half an hour's drive. Arundel Castle is maybe thirty-five minutes.
Facilities: everything's included - bedding, towels, electricity, WiFi. There's a TV, washing machine, dishwasher. You can bring one dog. There's a shower and a BBQ.
