Swn Y Nant
Swn Y Nant is a bungalow just outside Pontrhydfendigaid village. It's detached, so there's no one next door. We did it up in 2021.
It sleeps eight, but it's a bungalow, so it's all spread out on one floor. There are four bedrooms. Two have king-sized beds, one's a twin, and there's a small snug with a day bed for two more. Two bathrooms, one with a bath and one with a shower.
The main room is open plan, with the kitchen, dining, and lounge all together. There's an open fire in the middle of the living area. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a breakfast bar. The wifi works. You park off the road and there's a garage with a washing machine and freezer in it.
The garden is large, enclosed, and just grass. It's safe for kids or a dog, but we don't take pets, sorry.
The village has two pubs that do food and a couple of shops. Tregaron town is about six miles away for more things.
For local visits, Strata Florida Abbey is nearby. It's a historic site. Cors Caron nature reserve is good for a walk, especially if you like birdwatching. The area is popular for cycling on the quiet roads.
Aberystwyth on the coast is about half an hour's drive. It's a university town with a seafront and a ruined castle. The Visit Wales page for Ceredigion has more ideas.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's clean and warm. The beds are made up for you when you arrive.
