Dalvuie Beag
Dalvuie Beag is a little white farmhouse up the loch side from Ardchattan. It's detached, so there's nobody on the other side of the wall. You look out over the fields down towards the water.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms upstairs. One double, one twin. There's one bathroom, with a shower over the bath. We've kept the rating simple and honest, so it's 3 Star. It's clean and comfortable. The stairs are typical for a place like this, so mind your head if you're tall.
It's quiet up here. You'll see our sheep and a few cattle in the fields. We look after the land for the wildlife. You might hear an owl at night.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's a woodburning stove in the sitting room, and we leave you some wood to get started. You can bring one well-behaved dog. We've got a cot, highchair and stairgate if you need them. Bedding and towels are included.
There's a village about two miles away with a shop, a pub, and a place to eat. For a good beach, you can drive to Benderloch or up to the sands near Bonawe. You're right on the edge of Argyll Forest Park. Glen Coe and Fort William are under an hour's drive north if you want bigger mountains.
If you're interested in the local history, Ardchattan Priory is just down the road. Oban is about a twenty minute drive for ferries, more shops, or a trip to the whisky distillery.
