Dundonald Landing - Palm 2

Dundonald Landing is a lodge by Loch Etive. It's not a cottage, it's a modern, detached building, one of a small group. You look right out over the loch.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own shower room. The 5 Star rating means it's well-fitted and comfortable. Everything is on one level, which is handy.

The main room is open plan, with big doors that open onto the deck. There's a wood-burner effect stove, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Outside, there's a private hot tub on the deck and a barbecue. You have a private jetty about thirty seconds walk away for fishing or putting a kayak in.

The road in is a single track. It's quiet. You can walk or cycle along it by the shore. There are a couple of villages within a few miles for a shop or a pub meal. Connel is about five minutes drive, it has a store and a hotel. They've got the Falls of Lora there, which is worth a look when the tide's running.

Oban is seven miles away. That's where you'll find the main supermarkets, more restaurants, and the ferry port if you want to go to Mull or one of the other islands.

For local days out, Dunstaffnage Castle is close by. The beach at Tralee is about ten minutes drive. If you want to go further, Glencoe or Fort William are about an hour's drive.
