Dundonald Landing is on the side of Loch Etive in Ardchattan. You're right next to the water. The lodge is called Palm 3. It's detached and sleeps four, all on one level. Two bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms. One of the twin rooms has a wider door and a walk-in shower so it's easier for a wheelchair.
It's got a 5 Star rating if that matters to you. It means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The main room is open plan with big doors that slide open onto the deck. There's a kitchen with a dishwasher, and a gas stove. There's a private hot tub out the back.
The deck looks south over the garden towards the loch. There's a BBQ and outdoor furniture. You can walk down to the shore in about a minute. We've got a private pontoon and jetty if you want to fish, tie up a small boat, or go for a swim.
The access road is a single track. It's quiet, good for a walk or a cycle along the shore. The gardens at Ardchattan Priory are just along the road.
It's about an hour's walk, or a very short drive, to the villages of North Connel and Connel. They have a shop, a post office, and a hotel with a bar. Connel Bridge is there for the Falls of Lora tidal race. Dunstaffnage Castle and the Ocean Explorer Centre are nearby, and Tralee Beach is at Benderloch.
Oban is seven miles away. That's where you'll find most of the shops, restaurants, and ferries to the islands like Mull.
If you're driving, you can get to Fort William and Glencoe in about an hour. Inveraray Castle is about the same distance the other way.
