Dundonald Landing - Lochside Chalet

This is Dundonald Landing. It's a wooden chalet right on the edge of Loch Etive, in Ardchattan. It's just for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating.

The main thing is the location. You're basically on the loch. The front deck looks straight out over the water. The hot tub is on the deck too, so you're looking at the loch while you're in it.

It's open plan inside. There's a kitchen and living area, and the bedroom is separate. The road at the back is a single track lane, so you get some cars passing, but it's quiet. It's handy for the private jetty if you've got a small boat or kayak.

You're about a five minute drive from Connel, which has a shop and a pub. The Falls of Lora are there, under the bridge, which is interesting to see. Benderloch is a bit further and has a good beach at Tralee. Oban is about seven miles away for supermarkets, more places to eat, and the ferry terminal if you fancy a day trip to Mull or one of the other islands.

If you like walking or cycling, the old railway path from Oban towards Fort William is easily reached. The road along the north shore of the loch is good for a quiet cycle too.

For facilities: there's parking, wifi, a TV, a barbecue on the deck, and bedding and towels are provided. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
