Knyvetts North Creake

Knyvetts is in North Creake, right in the middle of the Norfolk countryside. It's a modern cottage built to look old, which means you get the wood beams and a wood burner without some of the usual cottage hassles.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, three bathrooms, so no one has to queue. Two doubles are downstairs, each with their own bathroom nearby. The main bedroom is upstairs, with a very big shower in its ensuite. The stairs are fine, standard steepness.

The kitchen is new, with big doors that open right onto the garden. There's a patio out there with a table, and the garden is enclosed. That's good if you're bringing dogs, which you can. There's a separate boot room for coats and wellies and dog leads, which keeps the mud out of the main living space.

Inside, there's a wood burner in the sitting room, a TV, and a dining table for six. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means everything is in good order and works as it should. There's parking for three cars on the driveway.

The village is quiet. There's a pub within walking distance. You're about a fifteen minute drive from the coast at places like Wells-next-the-Sea or Brancaster. Burnham Market is ten minutes away for shops and cafes.

If you're here for walking, the coast path is easily accessible. The National Trust looks after a lot of the beaches and headlands nearby. For history, you've got Holkham Hall, Sandringham, and the Walsingham Abbey grounds all within a half hour drive.
