Poplars Cottage
Poplars Cottage is on Gwehelog Common, between Usk and Raglan. It's a bungalow, so it's all on one level. It's detached and set back from the lane.
It's for two people. One bedroom with a king-size bed, and an en-suite shower room. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished. There's underfloor heating and a wood burner.
Bifold doors open from the living room onto a decked terrace. It looks over fields. There's a table and chairs out there. The kitchen has a dishwasher, and there's a utility room with a washing machine.
Usk is a five minute drive. It's a nice market town with a few shops, a couple of supermarkets, and some pubs. The river walk there is pleasant. You can visit Usk Castle.
For a bigger day out, Abergavenny is about twenty minutes away. The Sugarloaf is there for walking. The Brecon Beacons are within half an hour. Raglan Castle is very close, maybe ten minutes.
If you like walking, Wentwood Forest is just up the road. For food, The Walnut Tree near Abergavenny is about twenty-five minutes away. It's a Michelin-starred place.
In terms of what's here, everything on the facilities list is included. The WiFi works fine. Parking is on the drive. No pets, sorry.
