The Stables

The Stables is in Great Oak, near Raglan. It's a converted barn. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms are kingsize and both have their own shower room. The beds can be split into singles if you need that.

Downstairs is all one space. There's a wood burner in the living area, the kitchen, and a table to eat at. It has underfloor heating. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Netflix and Disney are on the TV, but you'll need your own logins.

Outside, there's a patio with a table and chairs. It's enclosed, so it's safe for dogs. We take up to two. There's a bike rack if you bring cycles.

The property has a 4 Star rating. It's also listed as having wheelchair accessible entrance and an electric vehicle charger. Please double-check with us directly about the specifics of those facilities if you need them, to make sure they suit you.

Location wise, it's quiet. You're in the countryside here. Raglan Castle is about three miles away. The Forest of Dean is a short drive for walking and mountain biking. The Brecon Beacons and the Wye Valley are both within a half hour drive for a day out. For canoeing on the Wye, Symonds Yat is a good starting point.

Abergavenny, Monmouth, and Chepstow are all close for shops and restaurants. Cardiff and Bristol are both under an hour if you want a city trip.
