The Old Granary
The Old Granary is on our sheep farm in Monkswood. You're in the courtyard, but it's detached. The land around here is all ours, about 135 acres, so you can walk straight out from the door.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is downstairs with its own bathroom. The stairs are a bit of a feature, made of oak and glass, going up to the main living area. That's where you'll find the wood burner. The place has a 5 Star rating, which means it's well kept and comfortable.
There's a pub that does food about half a mile away. The nearest shop is in Usk, which is about four miles. Usk is a nice little town with a castle, some good pubs, and independent shops.
You're well placed for getting out. Raglan village is eight miles away and has a famous castle. Abergavenny is about nine miles and has a great market, especially during its food festival. Tintern Abbey is 14 miles and worth a visit. For walking, you're close to the Brecon Beacons and the Wye Valley. The Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty site has good information.
As for the farm, it's working, so you'll see sheep. The garden is enclosed. For facilities, you've got the basics covered: parking, wifi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and a cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
