Situated on a working sheep farm, Henrhiw Farm Cottages stand in a large courtyard with far reaching views over the open countryside. Having 135 acres of land, with 30 acres of this being woodland, there is plenty of walks to be had right from the doorstep.
The Old Granary is accessed via the open plan kitchen and dining area, with an oak and glass staircase leading into the living area, with exposed beams, drop chandelier and cosy wood burner. There is a double bedroom on this floor with a kingsize bed and en-suite bathroom. Leading up the stairs again to a further two double bedrooms and a family bathroom.
There is plenty to see and do in the area and you are close to the historic little town of Usk with its fairy tale castle, independent shops, many pubs and famous floral decorations. The appealing village of Raglan, 8 miles, has a castle, pubs, farm shop, gliding club and award-winning butcher. The area is in the heart of historic and beautiful county of Monmouthshire, with its myriad attractions and eateries. Tintern Abbey, 14 miles, is definitely a must see as is the market town of Abergavenny, 9 miles, which hosts the famous food festival in September each year. There is also a number of pub and eateries. Golf courses abound and there is excellent walking in the Brecon Beacons, Offa’s Dyke, Wye and Usk Valley. Alternatively, why not hire a private chef for the evening or go midweek cleaning and shooting which both can be arranged with the owner at extra cost. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
