This is Clearvewe, our place just outside Llangwm in Monmouthshire. It's a detached barn conversion we did a few years back, set in a couple of acres of our land. The garden faces south, so it gets the sun most of the day.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and, unusually, three bathrooms. They're all en-suite. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor, both with king-size beds. One has a roll-top bath in the room, the other has a wet room. The third bedroom is upstairs and has another roll-top bath. The beds are made up with organic linen.
The main living space is open plan. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. The heating and hot water come from a biomass boiler and solar panels, and it's all carbon neutral. We've got electric car charging points too. We leave you some homemade bread and eggs from our chickens when you arrive.
You can park right there. The garden is enclosed. There's a BBQ, bike storage, a washing machine, a cot, and a highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The local pub and a restaurant are about two miles away. Usk is four miles. It's a nice little town with some good coffee shops and interesting boutiques. Usk Castle is worth a look if you're into that. For a bigger day out, you're within half an hour of the Wye Valley, the Forest of Dean, and Abergavenny. The coast at Newport is about 30 minutes by car.
For planning walks or visits, the Wye Valley AONB and Visit Wye Valley sites are useful.
