Henrhiw Farm

Henrhiw Farm is near Monkswood in Monmouthshire. It's a big, detached farmhouse on a working sheep farm. It sleeps twelve, in six bedrooms. Five of those have their own bathrooms. It has a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped.

The place is old, Grade II listed. The ceilings are low in some doorways. There are beams. The stairs are steep, as you'd expect. The master bedroom is big, with a kingsize water bed. It has patio doors to a small balcony with chairs.

Downstairs, there's a large kitchen, a family living room with a big fireplace, and a separate snug with a wood burner. The dining area fits everyone. The courtyard at the back has a walled pond and looks out over the fields.

You're on a farm, so you'll see sheep. It's very quiet. The nearest pub is about a mile away in Llanbadoc. The historic town of Usk is ten minutes by car. It has shops, pubs, and a castle.

Abergavenny is about nine miles east. It has a market and a famous food festival in September. Raglan is eight miles away, with a castle and a good farm shop. For a day out, Tintern Abbey is a twenty minute drive. Good walking from the Brecon Beacons and along Offa's Dyke is within half an hour.

Facilities: everything you'd need is here. Washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if needed. Plenty of parking. No pets, sorry.
