Stewards Granary is on East Learmouth Farm, near Cornhill-on-Tweed. It's a detached stone building, converted from a farm granary. It's peaceful here, just farm animals and fields.
It sleeps four, but there's just the one bedroom with a kingsize bed. The other two sleep on a sofa bed in the living area upstairs. The bathroom has a shower cubicle. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, but the layout is a bit unusual because of the conversion.
You come in on the ground floor to the bedroom and bathroom. To get to the kitchen and living area, you go up an external stone staircase at the back. The stairs are fine, but it's something to be aware of, especially with bags or in the rain. The kitchen is up there, and the living area has doors that open onto a small balcony overlooking the garden.
The garden is private and enclosed, which is good for dogs. There's a hot tub out there too. It's a working farm, so you'll see sheep and sometimes horses about.
Cornhill-on-Tweed is about a mile away. It's a small village with a couple of pubs that do food. For a bigger shop, Berwick-upon-Tweed is about seven miles. It's a proper town with supermarkets, a high street, and the river and beaches.
You're right on the edge of a lot of good walking country. The River Tweed is close by for fishing. For a day out, you can be in the Northumberland National Park in under half an hour. The coast at Bamburgh and Holy Island is about a 30-minute drive. Edinburgh is just over an hour, if you fancy the city.
What's here: the hot tub, an enclosed garden, parking right outside, WiFi, a washing machine, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There are other cottages on the farm if you're coming with a bigger group.
