Stewards Cottage West Learmouth

Stewards Cottage is on East Learmouth Farm, near West Learmouth. It's a detached stone cottage, so you're on your own out here. The views are over fields. It's very quiet.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom has an en-suite shower. Another bedroom has twin beds that can be joined into a super king if you ask beforehand. The main bathroom has both a bath and a separate shower.

The kitchen is a good size for cooking. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. The living room has a TV and an electric wood burner effect stove.

Outside, there's a patio with seating at the front and a small weaving garden to the side. The big draw is the separate games room, just a few steps from the cottage door. It's got a snooker table, darts, table football, and a wood burner. There's even an old baby grand piano. It's a great space if the weather turns.

You're on a working farm, so you'll see sheep. The farm track is fine for normal cars. There's plenty of parking.

The closest village is Cornhill-on-Tweed, about two miles away. It has a couple of pubs. For a shop, you'd need to go to Coldstream, which is about four miles.

You're well placed for exploring. The Northumberland coast, like Bamburgh and Holy Island, is about a 30 minute drive. Alnwick Castle and its famous garden is about 25 minutes south. Berwick-upon-Tweed is 15 minutes north. Edinburgh is just over an hour's drive if you fancy a city day.

For walkers, the area is good. The Northumberland National Park and the Northumberland Coast AONB are both close. The National Trust looks after several castles and beaches nearby.

The cottage has a 4 Star rating. We allow up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi.
