Partridge Alresford

This is Partridge, over in Elmstead Market near Alresford. It's a converted barn, part of a small group of them. You get the ground floor flat.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom, all on the same level. One double room and one with twin beds. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well kept and comfortable. The living area is open plan.

Outside, there's a shared courtyard garden and a swimming pool for the group of barns. You can park right outside.

There's a village shop and a pub in Elmstead Market itself. For a bigger shop, you'd drive into Colchester or the Waitrose in Wivenhoe.

You're in a good spot here for getting out. The coast is close. Brightlingsea is about twenty minutes drive, and Mersea Island is a bit further. Clacton and Frinton are within half an hour if you want that classic seaside. Wivenhoe is a nice little town on the river, good for a walk and a drink by the water.

Colchester is ten miles away. That's where you'll find the castle, the zoo, and all the main shops. For walking, Dedham Vale is close by. The Beth Chatto Gardens are well worth a visit if you like that sort of thing.

Facilities: there's WiFi, a TV, on-site parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if needed. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's a BBQ in the shared garden area.
