The Bull Pen is a converted barn on the Foxash Estate near Lawford. It's detached and all on one level, so no stairs to worry about. It's in the corner of our garden, but it's completely private.
It's for two people, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a five star rating because everything is new and of good quality. It's comfortable rather than huge.
You have your own patio that gets the sun all day. It looks out over the fields. There's a wood burner inside for cooler evenings.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
The nearest shop is about a mile away in Lawford. The nearest pub is The Hare in Dedham, which is three miles. They do good food.
You're right on the Essex/Suffolk border here. Dedham Vale is close by. It's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You can walk along the River Stour, see Flatford Mill, or hire a rowing boat in Dedham.
Colchester is about fifteen minutes north. It's got the castle, the Roman walls, and all the shops. The coast at Frinton and Walton-on-the-Naze is about half an hour east.
