The Old Bakery Langham

The Old Bakery is what it says it is. It's a conversion we did from the old village bakery, next to our house. You'd barely know we're here though, it's very separate and private.

It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well equipped and finished to a good standard. It's all on the ground floor, so no stairs to worry about.

You've got your own decking area out the back. Beyond that, there's about two and a half acres of garden and orchard you can wander. It's a bit wild in parts. We keep bees at the far end, so if you're nervous around them, maybe give that a wide berth.

Inside, it's been done up but we kept the old beams. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, towels and bedding are all included. Parking is right outside.

The village shop and the pub are about a mile down the road. The pub does food.

You're in a good spot for getting about. Langham is right on the border of Essex and Suffolk. Colchester is about ten minutes one way, Ipswich about fifteen the other. The A12 is close if you want to head up the coast.

Constable Country is practically on the doorstep. Flatford Mill and Dedham Vale are just a few miles away. Colchester has the castle and the zoo. If you fancy the coast, it's about half an hour to places like Frinton or Clacton. Aldeburgh and Southwold are a bit further, maybe forty-five minutes.
