The Glass Room is in Ardleigh Heath. It's basically an annexe attached to the side of our house. The main thing is the big window in the bedroom, which is where the name comes from. It looks out over the garden.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and everything's in good order. It's clean and modern inside.
You have your own bit of patio and garden at the front. It's private. The whole area is part of the Dedham Vale, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You'll recognise some of the views if you know Constable's paintings.
The village shop and the pub are about two miles away in Ardleigh. You'll need to drive. For a bigger shop, Colchester is about fifteen minutes by car. They've got the castle and the zoo there. If you head the other way, towards the River Stour, Manningtree and Mistley are maybe a ten minute drive. It's very quiet over there by the water.
Trains to London go from Manningtree station. It's under an hour, so a day trip is easy.
What's here: there's a washing machine, a TV, and the WiFi is decent. Bedding and towels are included. You can park right outside. No pets, I'm afraid.
