The Glass Room Ardleigh Heath

The Glass Room is in Ardleigh Heath, Essex. It's attached to our house, which is an old place. You won't see us unless you need to. It's for two people.

The main thing is the bedroom. It's got a big floor-to-ceiling window, which is where the name comes from. It looks out into the garden and the fields. It's very light.

It's a 5 Star place, so it's well kept and everything works. One bedroom, one bathroom with a shower. It's open plan downstairs. There's a washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can park right outside.

You get your own bit of garden. It's a private area with a patio. The wider garden and the fields around us are part of the Dedham Vale, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This is Constable country, if you know his paintings.

There's a shop and a pub about two miles away in the village. For more, you'd drive. Colchester is about ten miles. It's a Roman town with a castle museum and a zoo. The Stour Estuary is closer, maybe a five minute drive towards Manningtree and Mistley. It's quiet there, good for a walk.

If you want to go further, you can get the train from Manningtree. London is under an hour. Suffolk is right over the river. It's a good spot for seeing both counties.
