Swallow Alresford

This is Swallow, in Alresford near Elmstead Market. It's a converted barn, one of a few around a shared courtyard. You get your own front door, obviously.

Sleeps four, with two bedrooms and a bathroom, all on the ground floor. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The main bedroom has a super king bed. The second has twins.

It's open plan inside, so the living, kitchen and dining area are all one room. There's a TV and WiFi. The kitchen has what you need.

Outside, there's a shared courtyard and gardens with a swimming pool. It's not huge, but it's there if you want it. You can park right outside.

The village has a shop and a pub. Colchester is about fifteen minutes by car. The zoo is there, and the castle is worth a look. For a walk, Dedham Vale is close by. The Beth Chatto Gardens are just down the road if you like that sort of thing.

The coast is easy to get to. Brightlingsea, Frinton, Walton-on-the-Naze are all within half an hour. Wivenhoe is nice for a wander by the water.

Facilities: parking, WiFi, TV, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
