The Paddocks Retreat North Thoresby

The Paddocks Retreat is a one-bedroom cottage on our smallholding just outside North Thoresby. It's a modern, detached building, so no one is attached to you. It has a 5 Star rating, which generally means it's very well equipped and finished.

It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. We accept two dogs.

Inside, the main thing is the living space. It's open plan. There's a very large TV on one wall with a cinema-style seating set-up. We've also put in a Meta Quest VR headset for guests to use. There's a Yamaha grand piano. If you'd like to use it, you need to let us know before you arrive so we can set up the silent system.

Outside, there's a private patio with a hot tub. The cottage overlooks our fishing lake. You're welcome to fish there, but you need to arrange it with us beforehand. There's also an air-conditioned gym on site you can use by request.

The property is on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's about a twenty-minute drive to the coast at Cleethorpes or Mablethorpe. For a walk, you can head to the seaside or into the Wolds.

Donna Nook nature reserve is about twelve miles away. That's where the grey seals come ashore to pup in November and December. It's run by the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust.

There's a dog-friendly pub within walking distance. They do food.

Facilities: there's on-site parking, an electric vehicle charger, WiFi, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. If you're interested, we sometimes offer a supervised beekeeping experience here on the smallholding. You'd need to enquire about that well in advance.
