Cottage 2 Ashby Hill

Cottage 2 is on Ashby Hill, out in the Lincolnshire countryside. It's one of a row of cottages on a working farm, now set up as holiday lets. You look out over a big private fishing lake. It's peaceful.

The cottage itself sleeps four. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well equipped and comfortable.

You're on a 44 acre site here. The main thing is the lake view. You can sit out on the terrace and watch the birds. We get kingfishers, moorhens, geese. You'll see rabbits around the fields, and sometimes deer at the edges of the woods.

For a day out, Cleethorpes is about a 25 minute drive. It's a traditional seaside town with a long beach and a promenade. Louth is a market town in the other direction, maybe 20 minutes. It's got a nice high street with independent shops and a big church.

If you want to go further, Lincoln is under an hour away. The cathedral is the main thing to see. You can visit the castle there too.

The facilities are what you'd expect. Wifi, TV, parking right outside. All bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
