Cottage 7 is on Ashby Hill, up on the Lincolnshire Wolds. It's one of a small group of modern cottages on a 44-acre country park. The main thing is the view. It looks straight out over a lake and fields from the first floor.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom. That's handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and well-kept, newish build. The stairs are fine, standard stuff.
You get a terrace out the front with a bench. It's a quiet spot. You'll see plenty of wildlife from there - geese on the lake, rabbits in the field, sometimes deer at the edge of the trees.
Ashby cum Fenby village is about a mile away. There's a shop for basics and a pub. The nearest proper town is Louth, about a fifteen minute drive. It's a nice market town with decent shops and a big church.
If you want the coast, Cleethorpes is twenty-five minutes in the car. It's a classic seaside place with a beach, a pier, and promenade. For a bigger day out, Lincoln is about forty-five minutes. The cathedral is worth seeing. The castle is there too.
For walking, you're right in the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You can start straight from the cottage.
What's here: all your utilities are included. There's WiFi and a TV. Bedding and towels are provided. Parking is right outside. There's fishing on the lake. No pets, I'm afraid.
