Cottage 8 Ashby Hill

Cottage 8 is part of a small group of new cottages on a country park near Ashby cum Fenby. It's in the Lincolnshire Wolds.

It's a two-bedroom place that sleeps four. There are actually three bathrooms, which is useful. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well finished and comfortable.

The main thing is the view. It looks straight out over a big lake and fields. There's a terrace with a bench just to sit and watch it. You'll see a lot of birds. Rabbits and deer are around too.

The park itself is 44 acres. You can walk around it. There's fishing on the lake if you have a licence.

It feels quite remote, but you're not far from things. Cleethorpes and the beach are about a 20 minute drive. It's a proper seaside town with a long beach and a pier.

Louth is a market town, also about 20 minutes away. It's got good shops and a big church with a tall spire you can see for miles.

If you want a bigger day out, Lincoln is under an hour's drive. The cathedral is very impressive. The castle is right next to it.

Facilities: it's got everything you'd expect. WiFi, TV, parking right outside. All the bedding and towels are included. No pets allowed.
