Cottage 8 is on Ashby Hill in Lincolnshire. It's one of a group of modern cottages on a 44-acre country park.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There are three bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. The downstairs is open plan. You get a terrace out the front with a bench. The main thing is the view. It looks right out over a lake and the fields. You see a lot of wildlife: geese, rabbits, deer. Kingfishers sometimes.
The cottages are on two floors. The stairs are fine, they're just normal stairs.
The site has parking. Inside, there's a TV, WiFi, and a shower. Bedding and towels are included. All the utilities are covered in the price. You can fish locally on the lake.
It's a quiet spot. The village, Ashby cum Fenby, is small. For shops and things, you'd drive. The Lincolnshire Wolds are right there for walking. They're an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Cleethorpes and the coast are about a 30-minute drive. It's a proper seaside town with a beach and a promenade. Inland, Louth is a market town about 20 minutes away. Good for independent shops. Further on, Lincoln is about 45 minutes. The cathedral is worth seeing. Lincoln Cathedral and the castle are up on the hill.
No pets, I'm afraid.
