Pine Lodge is near Camerton in Somerset. It's one of a few Scandinavian-style lodges on site. It sleeps six people, but it only has two bedrooms. There's a small double bed, a regular double bed, and a set of twin beds. There's one shower room.
It's a modern, open plan space. You've got a kitchen with a breakfast bar, a living area with a TV and a gas stove that looks like a wood burner. The main thing is the veranda. It looks out over the Cam Brook river. It's a nice spot for a coffee or a drink.
The site has shared facilities. There's an outdoor heated swimming pool with a changing room. There's a games room, a cinema room, and an enclosed play area for kids with swings and a trampoline.
You can bring one dog. They provide a welcome pack for them. Dogs need to be on a lead around the site, but there's a fenced paddock where they can run freely.
Bath is about eight miles away. That's where you'll find the Roman Baths, shops, and restaurants. Glastonbury and its Tor are a short drive. Longleat Safari Park is also within easy reach. For walkers, the Mendip Hills and the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty aren't far.
Some practical things. There's parking right at the lodge. Bedding and towels are included. There's a shared laundry room on site. They ask for an £80 refundable security deposit a week before you arrive.
If you're looking for information on local walks or days out, the National Trust Somerset website is good, as is Visit Somerset.
