Sycamore Cottage is a wee detached house just outside Ballater. It’s on a quiet lane, about a ten minute walk from the village centre.
It’s for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it’s well looked after and comfortable. It’s mostly open plan downstairs, which works well. There’s a wood burning stove if you want it. The kitchen is handy, with a dishwasher and washing machine.
Outside, there’s a small enclosed garden and a patio with a table. You can park on the drive.
Ballater has shops, a couple of good butchers, cafes and restaurants. There’s a pub too. You can walk in from the cottage.
You’re right on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park so it’s good for walking. There’s fishing on the River Dee, and a golf course nearby. Balmoral Castle is about three miles west.
If you want to drive, Braemar is about 15 minutes away. The ski centre at Glenshee is about half an hour. Aberdeen is just over an hour if you need a city.
Bedding and towels are included. No pets, I’m afraid.
