Craigclunie
This is Craigclunie, it's our place in Ballater. It’s a detached cottage on a quiet street. You’ve got your own garden out the back, it’s fully fenced and gets the sun.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. There’s a wood burner in the living room for cooler nights, and a conservatory that opens onto the garden.
The stairs are normal, but remember it’s an older cottage. The front door has a step up to it.
You’re right in the village. There’s a shop about 150 yards away, and a pub even closer. Everything you need is within walking distance. Ballater itself is a good spot. You can pick up the Deeside Way for cycling or walking right from the doorstep.
Balmoral Castle is about eight miles up the road. Glen Tanar is nearby if you fancy horse riding. For walkers, you’re on the edge of the Cairngorms. Lochnagar is a big one for a challenge.
Aberdeen is roughly an hour's drive if you want a city day for shops or the theatre.
In terms of what’s here: there’s a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and you can bring two dogs. The garden is enclosed. There’s on-street parking right outside.
