Darroch View
Darroch View is on the top two floors of an old minister's house in Ballater. It's south facing, so it gets the sun.
It sleeps seven. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's been done up to a high standard. It's spacious. The stairs are normal, not steep.
The kitchen, dining and living area are sort of open plan. There's an open fire. The furnishings are nice and it feels relaxed.
Ballater is a good village. You can walk to shops, cafes and restaurants from the house. It's in the Cairngorms National Park, so the views and the walking are the main things.
Balmoral Estate is about ten minutes by car. For skiing, Glenshee is around forty minutes and the Lecht is about fifty. If you like whisky, Royal Lochnagar Distillery is just up the road.
In terms of things you might need: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking on site. We can provide a cot, highchair and stairgate. No pets, I'm afraid.
