Rhinabaich is in Abergeldie, about four miles from Ballater. It's a detached house, so you're not right on top of anyone. The garden looks out over fields and hills, you get a good view of the river Dee.
It sleeps six. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and a wood burning stove.
The main living area is big. The stove sits in the middle, between the seating and the dining table, so it heats the whole space. It's a good spot to sit and watch the weather change over the hills.
You're about a mile from the nearest pub. Ballater has shops, cafes, and a couple of good butchers. It's a handy place. For a bigger shop, Braemar is about fifteen minutes drive the other way.
You're right in the middle of Royal Deeside. Balmoral Castle is very close. Castle Fraser and Crathes Castle are about a forty minute drive. Good for a day out.
The area is known for walking. Glen Muick is nearby for a proper hike, or you can just walk from the door. You'll see red deer. If you're here in winter, the Glenshee ski centre is about half an hour away.
Facilities: there's parking for a couple of cars, a cot if you need it, bedding and towels are included. Sorry, no pets.
