Anvil Cottage is on a small farm in Grimblethorpe. It's a semi-detached brick building. The name comes from the old blacksmith's forge that was in part of the building. It's quiet here.
It's a four star place, sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom has a king size bed, the other has twins. We finished a full refurbishment in 2023 so everything is fresh, with central heating. The main room has wooden beams and an oak floor. There's a wood burner effect fire for atmosphere.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's a garden area for you to use and parking right outside.
The farm is on the Viking Way, so you can walk straight onto the footpath network. It's in the Lincolnshire Wolds, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The market town of Louth is a short drive away. It's got butchers, bakers, independent shops, that sort of thing.
Within about half an hour's drive you can get to the coast at places like Mablethorpe. The city of Lincoln is also within reach for a day out.
Inside, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. All bedding and towels are included.
